Polishing the Crown: TFI’s Formal Etiquette Dinner

On April 1st, the Kings of The Fellowship Initiative gathered for an evening unlike any other. Dressed in crisp shirts and ties provided especially for the occasion, the young men made their way to Almond and Oak in Oakland.

The formal attire wasn't just about looking the part. It was an invitation to step into a new version of themselves,  to sit up straighter, move with intention, and recognize that how we show up in a space matters.

Under the leadership of Stacy Daniels and with the invaluable support of Damon Watson from Vibrant Emotional Wellness and Adrian Henderson, the Kings were guided through a full etiquette tutorial, from navigating a place setting to the unspoken rules of formal conversation. But the evening went deeper than manners.

The dinner became a space for real dialogue: What does it mean to walk into a room and belong there? How do we carry ourselves when the world hands us an opportunity? The conversations that flowed between courses were just as nourishing as the meal itself.

Experiences like this are at the heart of what TFI is about; expanding the frame of what's possible and giving our Kings the tools, the exposure, and the belief to move through every door that opens for them.
