KOO Labs Academies is a workforce development program that equips youth aged 14–24 with transferable career skills in animation production, video production, music production, and fashion design.
Participants will attend Two days to four days per week at our KOO Labs Design Center & Production House in West Oakland
Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
This is your chance to gain real-world experience, build a creative portfolio, and learn directly from industry professionals in a hands-on, supportive environment.

Make it, mix it, perform it. Students learn the fundamentals of beat making, tempo, and mixing and mastering, then step out of the studio to build their skills as MCs and performers with real stage presence. Every student leaves having created and performed their own original music.

Drew Banga
Music Academy Instructor
Andrew Arnett, professionally known as Drew Banga, is an accomplished Bay Area music producer, DJ, and event curator. Throughout his career, he has worked with respected artists, produced impactful music, and created community-centered events that have helped shape the Bay Area’s music and nightlife culture. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Andrew is passionate about teaching children music production and inspiring the next generation to express themselves creatively. He is committed to using his experience, knowledge, and love for music to uplift young people and the Bay Area community as a whole.
