The Kingmakers Club is an after-school program where boys, who we refer to as Kings, are engaged, encouraged, and empowered to grow, lead, and thrive. Grounded in the 3 E’s, our club creates a safe and brave space for boys and young men to journey from boyhood to manhood through cultural affirmation, leadership development & holistic support.

Kingmakers Club is designed for 5th grade to 7th grade and can be transformed to serve 9th grade to 11th grades as well. We center our work with Black boys while serving all. BIPOC students are highly encouraged to participate. Times are to be determined by partner school sites.
The pedagogy and methodology for Kingmakers Club is rooted in the asset based model and principles of Kingmakers of Oakland which informs us to see all students with beauty, brilliance and innate greatness. In addition, our practice is rooted in love, and creating safe and brave spaces for participants to grow, learn, lead, and develop.
