COMM-UNITY: Where Art, Music, and Healing Meet

This past Sunday, we had our first “COMM-UNITY” event curated by Zo1 & Kingmakers of Oakland at our Production center KOO Labs! Community showed up and showed out in a beautiful way to bring and support musical performances, Visual Art, as well fashion vendors and clothes drives. The vibes were high, kicked off by DJ Sirebeez and blessed with performances from talented artists such as Prospect Band, Brotha Peace, AJGOD, Medicine Man, B. Deveaux, Jordybo of RBR and Zo1. These artists brought positivity, consciousness and lyrical remedies to the space for the community to listen to and submersed in. Vendors included Nea’s Art Haven who brought her amazing original paintings, Black on Broadway with their introspective and positive merchandise, Chiller Gang and Rebel Status who brought dope fashion garments and streetwear, as well as Souley Vegan and Raw Sol Collective who brought high vibrational nutritious Vegan food. Community was present and showed up with love, enjoying the communal experience and giving high praise to all involved. Attendee Shonna stated that  “the event was so dope, amazing and super pleasant. I loved the artists, music and opportunity to network and get resources. I bought some Seamoss and Souley Vegan sweet potato pies which were Delicious”. Folks left the event feeling full in spirit and stomach, already asking when the next one will be. We look forward to curating more COMM-UNITY events in the future and creating inclusive spaces that foster growth, togetherness and positivity.
