Welcome to the Golden State Music & Technology Program, presented by NBA 2K. A collaboration between Kingmakers of Oakland, The Golden State Warriors, Golden State Entertainment and NBA 2K. This initiative is designed to empower the next generation of creative leaders.
If you are passionate about music, technology, and telling your story, this is your opportunity to learn from industry experts and get hands-on experience in the hip-hop and musical space.
We are looking for approximately 30 high-school-aged youth from Oakland to join our upcoming cohort and transform their creative potential into reality.
THE PROGRAM
State-of-the-Art Access:
Gain exclusive access to professional recording studios and industry-standard equipment.
Mentorship & Development:
Build your skills through a curriculum rooted in youth development and narrative change.
Expert Instruction:
Learn directly from experienced music instructors, guest artists, and specialized facilitators.
Comprehensive Curriculum: Dive deep into the core elements of music creation, from Song Writing & Performance to Music Production and DJing.
Live Showcases:
Share your talent through community events and program showcases.

Duration: The program runs for a comprehensive 12-week cycle.
Schedule: Sessions are held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Location: Programming takes place at the Kingmakers of Oakland headquarters, utilizing the Koolabs Design Center and live room sound stages.
