Ignite Your Genius: Fall 2026 Afterschool Applications Are Open!

As we gear up for a new school year, Kingmakers of Oakland is thrilled to announce that applications are officially open for our Fall 2026 after-school programs! Whether our black youth want to design the next great apparel design line or build community-driven AI solutions, KOO Labs is the ultimate community space to shift the narrative and create.
This fall, we are offering two distinct pathways for our black youth:
KOO Labs Academies (Artistic expression)
Our signature, FREE creative arts program for high school students in Oakland kicks off on August 24th. Taught by industry professionals, students will choose a Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday schedule, meeting from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Kings can choose to master their craft in:

🎵 Music Production
🧥 Fashion Design
🎬 Video & Podcasting
Sankofa Kings Fellowship (Tech & Media)
Launching this fall, Sankofa Kings is an exclusive, PAID 9-week media and tech fellowship specifically designed for Black boys. Meeting on Wednesdays and Saturdays, this powerful youth leadership development program bridges the past and the future. Our Kings will learn cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence tools, connect deeply with ancestral intelligence, and actively build their own applications designed to uplift and support their local communities.
