Kingmakers of Oakland announces a free KOO Lab Summer Program for youth!

While many summer programs can cost hundreds,. Kingmakers of Oakland is making sure parents raising kings in Oakland and across the Bay have a no-cost option that also prepares youth with real creative skills they can carry into the future.

The program runs June 1 through July 9, Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM, at the KOO Lab Design Center in West Oakland. Students can choose from music, fashion, animation, or media, gaining hands-on experience while working on real-world projects.

This is more than a summer camp. It is also a mentorship experience where youth learn directly from Black professionals who are thriving in their respective creative fields, building both skills and confidence.

Participants will leave with tools they can use in school, careers, or their own creative paths. Spaces are limited, so be sure to register soon and share with your community.

Join us in building creativity, confidence, and opportunity in Oakland this summer.
