The school year is here, and applications for our Fall 2026 programs are officially open! Whether you are a young King stepping into creative arts, emerging tech, or long-term college and career preparation, we have a space for you.
KOO Labs Academies (Creative Arts)
The Program: A free afterschool academy for middle and high school students to build creative portfolios and learn directly from industry professionals in Fashion Design, Animation, Music Production, and Film Production.
The Schedule: Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM. The program started this week and runs to May 27, 2027, at our KOO Labs Design Center (1035 7th Street, Oakland).

Sankofa Kings Fellowship (Tech & AI)
The Program: A 9-week intensive residency for Black men designed to bridge Ancestral Intelligence with Artificial Intelligence. This is a space to move from being consumers of tech to becoming the Architects of the future.
The Schedule: Wednesdays (4:30 PM – 6:30 PM) and Saturdays (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM). Runs October 7th through December 12th.

The Fellowship Initiative (TFI)
The Program: A comprehensive, completely free 4-year youth development program for Black and Brown young men entering 9th grade who live or attend school in Oakland. TFI Kings receive year-round academic advising, mental health support, college tours, and career exposure. We value potential and a desire to grow, regardless of current GPA.
The Schedule: A 4-year commitment meeting 3 Saturdays per month (6-hour sessions). Launches October 17th.
