This month, the energy at Kingmakers of Oakland reached a new level as we officially launched our latest cohort of The Fellowship Initiative (TFI). We are incredibly excited to welcome this new generation of Kings into our space, marking the beginning of a transformative high school journey grounded in brotherhood, brilliance, and boundless potential.
TFI is our comprehensive, multi-year college access and leadership development program specifically designed for Black male youth, beginning in the ninth grade. We know that the transition into high school is a critical window. Through TFI, we wrap our Kings in a supportive village, equipping them with the academic resources, mentorship, and cultural grounding they need to successfully navigate high school and transition into higher education. This program is not just about getting into college; it is about helping our young men step into their power, discover their purpose, and realize their innate genius.
While we are thrilled to have our newest scholars in the building, our village always has room to grow. If you know a current ninth-grade student who is ready to take his crown out of his pocket, we want to connect with him. We are still actively encouraging students and their families who are interested in this life-changing program to apply and join our ecosystem.
The future is being written right now, and our young men are holding the pen. Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this incredible brotherhood.
