Welcome to KOO Labs recording studios, where our exceptionally designed and well equipped studios and experienced team of engineers are here to deliver pristine audio for any project. From recording to post-production, we’ll bring your vision to life.
We are fully equipped to handle recording projects of any size or budget, whether it be music, podcast, voiceover, narration or ADR. We also offer full mixing and mastering services, both in person and remote.
our Studios
We offer 2 primary recording studios; both designed by Bay Area renowned acoustical designer, Frank Hubach associates with state of the art acoustic design. Both studios were built with a decoupled “room within a room” design for maximum isolation.
Studio A
Our 1,250 sq. ft. Studio A includes a spacious control room, large live room, and 2 Iso rooms. The main control room is centered around a 48 channel SSL Duality console, with plenty of modern and vintage outboard preamps, compressors, eqs and reverb units. The live room is easily large enough to fit a full band of any size, the larger Iso booth can comfortably fit a full drum kit, and the smaller Iso is perfect for nice tight vocal recordings.
Studio B
Our 350 sq. ft. Studio B has a very comfortably sized control room, a live room large enough to record a full drum kit, and an entry room between them perfect for isolating amps or other instruments. This is a perfect studio for production sessions, overdubs, or mixing.

Head Engineer & Studio Manager
Kevin McCann is an accomplished recording engineer, producer, and studio manager whose career spans two decades in the music industry. His crowning achievement came in 2023 when he won a Grammy Award for his work as recording engineer and vocal producer on Alphabet Rockers’ “The Movement,” adding to his impressive track record of four previous Grammy-nominated albums.
As the operational head of two recording studios, McCann masterfully orchestrates client bookings and studio workflows while maintaining an active role in the creative process. His versatility as a writer, producer, and performer has drawn diverse talents to his door, from hip-hop legends Blackalicious and Pep Love of Hieroglyphics to R&B powerhouse Ledisi and Grammy-winning songwriter Malik Yusef, known for his work with Beyoncé and Kanye West.
McCann’s expertise crosses multiple genres, including rock, pop, hip-hop, R&B, and experimental music. His collaborative portfolio features notable artists such as Lateef the Truthspeaker, Madame Gandhi, Rayana Jay, Jennifer Johns, Emily Afton, and Waterstrider, demonstrating his ability to bring out the best in any artist regardless of their musical style.
