Rooted in Purpose. Refreshed Online.

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the new Kingmakers of Oakland website. A digital home that reflects our mission, honors our legacy, and showcases the transformative work we do in schools and in our community.

After months of planning, design, and development, the new site is finally live. It features a bold new design, updated content, and simplified navigation.  All anchored in our core values: Love, King Centered, African Centered, Collective Will, and Partnership — the principles that shape everything we do.

Whether you’re a long-time supporter or just getting to know us, the site is designed to help you explore who we are, what we do, and how you can get involved.

What’s New?

  • A Vibrant New Design: Rooted in our visual identity and powered by storytelling, the new design brings our work to life. From high quality photos to rich video content, every element reflects the brilliance and creativity of the youth we serve.

  • Programs at a Glance: You’ll now find updated pages for our core programs and curriculum like KOOLabs Academy, Crowns Curriculum, The Fellowship Initiative, Kingmakers Club and Jegna — each highlighting our impact approach, and opportunities for partnership.

  • Creative Media Hub: Dive into our growing library of media — including short films, animated music videos, and more. This is a space to witness Black excellence in motion, powered by our creative team and student-led labs.

  • Streamlined Navigation: We’ve reorganized the site to make it easier than ever to find what you’re looking for, whether that’s an upcoming event, media request, or info about our impact with the students and educators we serve.

Powered by Community

This site was built with input from our entire team. We believe that our digital presence should be just as powerful and welcoming as our physical spaces — and this site is a major step in that direction.

We’re especially proud of the work our KOOLabs Media and Marketing team put in to help shape the content and visuals. It’s more than a website,  it’s a living, evolving expression of our mission to transform education and reimagine what’s possible for Black Boys.

Let’s Stay Connected

We invite you to explore the site and share it with your community. Whether you want to volunteer, collaborate, donate, or simply learn more, there’s a place for you here.
