Educator of the Month: Keenan Allen
Great teaching is about more than just delivering a lesson; it’s about modeling the excellence we wish to see in our young Kings. This month, we are proud to honor Bro Keenen Allen as our Educator of the Month. A dedicated facilitator at Denny International Middle School in Seattle, Bro Keenen has spent this year cultivating a classroom environment rooted in high expectations and infectious enthusiasm. His commitment to 'showing up' with his best every single day has clearly rubbed off on his students, as evidenced by their recent stellar performances on the public stage
For this year’s student showcase, his Kings showed up and showed out with an exceptionally crafted and delivered presentation about resistance movements in Seattle. The two Kings who presented were King Trice, who focused on the Black Panthers in Seattle and King Abdullahi, who focused on the #SayHerName movement, and more specifically, the tragic murder of Charleena Lyles. They impressed attendees with their preparedness, their succinct and clear delivery, and clear expertise and passion about the subject. Congratulations to Bro. Keenen and his Kings on having another amazing year!
