Empowering the Next Generation: A December Update on Our Impact
By: Aman Falol
As we close out the year, we are thrilled to reflect on the incredible growth and momentum within our community. This December, we celebrate the tangible impact of our core programming—The Crowns Curriculum and The Fellowship Initiative—both of which continue to redefine what is possible for our young leaders and the educators who guide them.
Through the Crowns Curriculum, our commitment to culturally responsive education has reached new heights. To date, we have successfully trained over 20 Black male educators, equipping them with the tools to lead with authenticity and purpose. The ripple effect of this training is profound, directly impacting the lives of more than 900 students. By fostering environments where students feel seen and heard, we are building a foundation for lifelong academic and personal success.
Simultaneously, The Fellowship Initiative has been hard at work ensuring our young men, our Kings, are prepared for the next chapter of their journeys. We are proud to share that we have supported 32 Kings in navigating the rigorous college admissions process. From securing transcripts to polishing personal statements, these scholars have completed all necessary requirements and submitted applications to a strategic mix of safe, target, and reach post-secondary options across the country.
These milestones are a testament to the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our students, and the unwavering support of our community. As these young men await their acceptance letters, we stand with them, confident that they are prepared to lead and succeed.
