Honoring Our Village Builders

At Kingmakers of Oakland, we know that it truly takes a village to raise a King. Every program we launch, every curriculum we build, and every young man we uplift is fueled by the unwavering support of our community.

This October, we want to extend a special, heartfelt thank you to Landon Dickey and the East Bay Community Foundation (EBCF), as well as Dr. Johns and the National Black Justice Collective. Your generous support directly fuels our ecosystem, ensuring our programs have the resources necessary to continue transforming lives.

We also want to express our deepest gratitude to the dedicated individuals who consistently pour into our youth month after month. Thank you to: Sis Shia Smith, Sis Iraida Bardell, Bro Tsadiku Obolu, and Sis Pandora Thomas!

As we gear up for our 2026 Giving Season Campaign, grounded in the spirit of Ubuntu: I am because we are, we are reminded that our success is entirely interconnected. We cannot do this work without our community.

Thank you all for seeing the genius in our youth and demonstrating what collective care looks like in action. If you would like to join the village and support our programming—including KOO Labs, Sankofa Kings, and TFI—you can make a donation here.
