King of the Month
This month, we’re proud to recognize Jamir Brown-Anderson, a senior at San Francisco State University majoring in Economics and a powerful example of what it means to grow into leadership at Kingmakers.
Jamir first connected with Kingmakers as a participant in TFI Cohort 1 and later became a Tribe Chief with our Sankofa Kings program as well. One of the things that stands out about Jamir is his willingness to jump in when he sees a need. Whether leading a team, supporting an event, or participating in a Kingmakers promotional video, he looks for ways to contribute and make an impact.
Jamir’s journey is especially meaningful because of how much he has grown along the way. As he moved through TFI and into college, he developed a deeper understanding of the value of community, brotherhood, and mentorship. Today, he returns that investment by pouring into others with genuine encouragement, confidence, and care.
He also brings that same passion into his academic life. As an Economics major, Jamir lights up when discussing markets, money, and the economy. His curiosity and knowledge often turn him into the person everyone in the room stops to listen to and learn from.
Jamir continues to lead with purpose. His commitment, generosity, curiosity, and willingness to show up for others make him a powerful example of a King in the making.
Congratulations, Jamir Brown-Anderson, on being our Student of the Month!
