Support the Vision: Our Kings, Our Stories

At Kingmakers of Oakland, we believe that when a Black boy is seen, heard, and loved, his potential is limitless. This year, we launched our “Our Kings, Our Stories” fundraising campaign with a bold goal: to raise $50,000 by June to continue fueling the brilliance of our young Kings.

Today, we are thrilled to share that since launching this campaign, we have already raised $10,000!

To every person who has contributed so far, thank you. Your investment is a direct vote of confidence in the future of our youth. Because of your generosity, we are well on our way, but we still have a mountain to climb before our fiscal year ends this summer.

Why Your Support Matters

Every dollar donated to the "Our Kings, Our Stories" campaign goes directly into the hands and hearts of our Kings. We aren’t just funding programs; we are building ecosystems of success. Your support provides:

  • Academic Excellence: Dedicated tutoring and hands-on support through the college application process.

  • Expansion of Horizons: Exposure trips that allow Kings to see the world and their place in it.

  • Creative Innovation: High-level training in creative programs through KOOLabs Academy.

  • Safe Spaces: Crucial upgrades to our state-of-the-art production facility—a sanctuary where Kings learn, connect, and grow.

Two Ways You Can Make an Impact Today

1. Invest in a King If you are in a position to give, please visit our Donation Page. Whether it’s $5 or $500, every bit of capital helps us reach that $50k finish line and sustains the vital work we do every day.

2. Experience the Magic of Our Stories Our movement is built on the power of narrative. We invite you to visit our Digital Archive to meet the young men behind the mission. Each King has a dedicated page where you can read and watch his story, learn about his journey, and donate directly to the programs that support his growth.

We have until June to hit our goal. Let’s show our Kings that their community stands behind them. Together, we can ensure they have the resources, the spaces, and the platforms they deserve to lead.

With gratitude,

The Kingmakers of Oakland Team
